Your funny Valentine: February pets featured in a Valentine from their pet parents
You know why you love your pet, but why not put it in writing? That's what some of my Paws peeps did for Valentine's Day! I asked my readers to submit a photo of their pet and one sentence explaining why they love their pet. Thank you for submitting your pet to be selected as one of my February Featured Pets. Food banks have been a lifeline for people struggling to make ends meet. I'm not immune to struggle- I have used the services of the Food Bank. That's why donating to and supporting local food banks has been a passion of mine. But what about our pets? They're family and we are responsible for feeding them, but sometimes we need help. In Ottawa there is a non-profit that has been dedicated to supporting fur-families in need.

Easter lily is
a beautiful gift but is deadly for cats
Easter is a wonderful holiday to celebrate with family- pets
included. Like so many other holidays the celebration can unintentionally
pose a threat to a cat or dog. One common Easter gift is lethal to cats and
symptoms can show up in as little as six hours.
The spring celebration usually involveschocolate that can be a deadly treat for a dog.Something
else to consider is the Easter grass that lines the bottom of most Easter gift
baskets. It can create dangerous intestinal damage if ingested by a dog or cat,
resulting in expensive vet bills.
