Hello, I'm Hazel! I saw three rabbits the other night, so I figured it must be Easter. I'm woofing all of you a very Happy Easter! We are spending our second Easter during the Covid-19 pandemic together again, just Hazel and mum. There will be lots of snuggles and Easter treats. I hope you enjoy the long weekend even though Ontario is in lockdown and remember: Lockdowns are tough on everyone but it keeps us safe. I don't mind lockdown because get more time with mum and lots of walks. Want to know what else you can do to have a safe and fun Easter?

Easter lily is
a beautiful gift but is deadly for cats
Easter is a wonderful holiday to celebrate with family- pets
included. Like so many other holidays the celebration can unintentionally
pose a threat to a cat or dog. One common Easter gift is lethal to cats and
symptoms can show up in as little as six hours.
The spring celebration usually involves chocolate that can be a deadly treat for a dog. Something
else to consider is the Easter grass that lines the bottom of most Easter gift
baskets. It can create dangerous intestinal damage if ingested by a dog or cat,
resulting in expensive vet bills.

Bringing home the bunny: Important information for rabbit owners
They are cute and cuddly and can be fun to watch as they play and hop for hours. Rabbits are gentle, social creatures with big personalities and even bigger popularity with pet parents. These little cuties are commonly thought of as part of the rodent family but they are in fact lagomorphs.

Easter inspired treats: Are eggs good snacks for pets?
Easter is in season and painting eggs is all the rage. Don’t be fooled, eggs are more than just the pretty and decorative symbols of this spring holiday. Eggs are full of protein and nutrients that are great for people. But are eggs good for pets?
The general rule is to avoid raw egg when feeding this treat to any dog, cat or small mammal pet. Those pets all have similar reactions to uncooked egg. Some snakes and other reptiles will eat whole eggs but it is important that reptile owners do a lot of research before feeding an egg to their pet....

Holidays in March seem endless with Easter
celebrations coming on the heels of a Saint Patrick’s Day party weekend. While
us ‘two-leggeds’ celebrate our furry family members are also honored with these
holidays and awareness weeks.
On March 1st skip the bacon and
celebrate National Pig Day! Pigs as pets are growing in popularity and this day
asks us to respect the meat and pass on the pork!
