My current collection of Goosebumps you see today started about 4 years ago when I got a few of my original Goosebumps books and bedding back from my parents. It has become a collection that is recognized as one of the biggest and top collections in the world- even R.L. Stine shared it on his Twitter... which is SO awesome.
Here are my top 5 favourite Goosebumps books for the spooky season- Halloween!
5. Attack of the Graveyard Ghouls: If the cover doesn't scare you enough, the story will. I never wanted to step foot near a graveyard again. This was a pretty scary book from start to finish. Boy oh boy.. a must-read for sure.
4. Headless Halloween: Let me tell you, this was my go-to for Halloween because it was a fun story and really helps set the mood for the spooky season. It inspired a few trick-or-treat costumes growing up too.
3. Attack of the Jack-O'-Lanterns: Trick or treating forever sound like the best idea ever right? Right? Wroooong! Being forced to walk every street of every town by towering jack-O'-LANTERNS with flames coming out of the face is one thing but wait, what... they're not from this planet!? Wow- what a twist.
2. The Haunted Mask 1 & 2: There's no way this is not one of the best (2) stories ever written by R.L. Stine! I mean yes, I know this is a top 5 list, but there is no way you can choose one or the other. A mask that takes over your soul and becomes one with you slowly, making itself part of you FOREVER... enough said.
1. The Haunted Car: This will always be my number 1 book all year round because it was my first book EVER. And how could it not be when your mum has a car that looks like it's straight off of a Goosebumps book cover?Reading Goosebumps made it Halloween every day for us because her car looked pretty much the exact same- minus the creepy eyes and mouth that looks like it could eat you alive.
